A Pale Sky Blue Stone Hangs from a Stardust

Inspired by the sky, which unfolds interesting phenomena every day, this necklace is as though a piece of sky was cut out into a wearable necklace.

This necklace is set with a doublet of faceted rutilated quartz with golden needle-like inclusion over a chalcedony base, bonded together to create a shard-shaped gem. The untraditional cut on the rutilated quartz adds an intriguing dimension.

The doublet creates a watery illusion, as if a piece of cloudless sky with rays of sunlight were captured in a necklace. The fresh blue background helps the delicate gold lines of rutilated quartz to pop. The doublet has some height and is set with thin prongs and in a basket-like frame, allowing light to pass through. Above the gem floats ileava jewelry’s original stardust with a diamond in the center for an elegant sparkle.
