Two Circles Shaped by Water

An undulating line inspired by the surface of water shapes these asymmetrical 18k gold hoops from the Uo collection. Each measures approximately 2.4cm in diameter. They join ileava’s wider selection of hoop earrings.

Matching earrings are often expected to repeat the same circle twice. Here, the two outlines differ, yet their scale and shared gold line keep them visibly connected. The asymmetry is subtle enough to read as a pair while giving each ear a slightly different curve.

A perfect circle can feel still. These hoops seem to keep moving even before the wearer does, their contours following the irregular rhythm of water. Once worn, the motion of the head brings small flashes across different parts of each hoop. The effect comes from just a few elements: 18k gold, a fluid line, and two circles that agree without being identical.
