Spectolite with vvid colors

A unique triangular-shaped spectrolite, an exclusive variety of labradorite found in Finland, has a smooth polished surface. Designed and cut by a Japanese master lapidarist, the stone appears dark at first glance. However, when held and moved, it reveals a vibrant spectrum of colors, ranging from blues and greens to oranges and reds. Unlike typical labradorite, spectolite’s colors are more vivid that can be seen in larger areas of the stone.

This spectrolite is set in 18k yellow gold with minimal prongs, allowing the stone to stand out. Maya, the designer, added a delicate crescent moon above the gemstone and an intricate star cluster motif below, giving an impression that a fragment of the night sky has been captured within the piece. Each star is set with diamond at its center, adding a touch of sparkle that enhances the celestial theme.

The dark and mysterious stone reveals its natural beauty when lit, as if the spectrolite holds a secret, revealing its magic.
