Sun Floating in the Desert Necklace

Designed and cut by a skilled Japanese master lapidarist, the dye was infused into the natural patterns of the agate, transforming it into a landscape-like painting. To enhance the visual depth, the lapidarist paired this dyed quartz with a diamond-shaped faceted quartz on top, creating a doublet. This technique gives the illusion of a world within the gemstone, inviting the viewer to gaze into it. The facets on the quartz catch and reflect light, adding some sparkle to the necklace.

Behind the stone, Maya, the designer placed a golden sun, making the radiant sun motif visible through the quartz. This sun, gleaming through the quartz, creates an image of a sunlit desert landscape, making this 18k gold necklace a unique character. The sun motif represents warmth, life, and a familiar landscape to anyone, adding a layer of symbolism to the piece.
