Five Colors Along a Gentle Curve

Five rounded sapphires form a gentle arc in this necklace made in matte 18k gold. Selected with transparency in mind, the softly colored stones have smooth, pebble-like contours, while diamonds add small points of light.

The eye moves slowly along the five sapphires, then pauses when a diamond catches the light. This change of pace keeps the arrangement from reading as a simple row of colors.
